The Ashtanga Mysore style class follows a traditional self-practice format. Although a teacher is present, this is not a led yoga class. Students can arrive any time between 7-9am and stay for as long as they wish, while the teacher moves quietly around the room, guiding students on an individual basis.
The practice gives students the chance to get to know the sequence posture-by-posture and learn at their own pace. There is no need to be familiar with the Primary Series or Ashtanga yoga. This is an Open Level class – everyone is welcome. This is suitable for all levels, from beginners to more experienced practitioners.
