Yin + Gong Meditation
This is a quiet, slow and meditative practice, with a focus on the hips, pelvis and lower spine, all supported by the earth using props and variations to allow the body to open up and the mind to still. By holding postures for an extended period, the connective tissue is stimulated and joints are nourished.
Then, relax into the healing vibrations of the gong as you let go and detach from ‘chitter-chatter’ of the mind. Gong meditation, a type of sound therapy, has been around for thousands of years as a way of healing. Producing a sound wave, the vibration of the gong creates the perfect space to relax. The long term benefits of being exposed to sound of the gong are manifold – from promoting good sleep, and breaking up of emotional blockages, to stress reduction and more.
