Community Yoga
Peckham + Covent Garden + Streatham / / Sunday afternoons
We launched our weekly Community classes back in 2014 in Peckham to make yoga more accessible to local people. Community Yoga classes are bookable by donation online, or we have a number of free drop-in spaces for those who do not have the means but would like to practise. We rolled out our Community Yoga classes in Streatham and Covent Garden at the start of 2020, however due to Coronavirus all classes are currently suspended.
Your Chosen Charities
We’ve reached out to our local communities, as well as our customers, to find charities that we can support throughout the year with our 3, weekly community classes across each studio.
Thanks to the joint decision of our customers and local community, we’ve chosen the below 3 charities to support in 2020:

COVENT GARDEN
Single Homeless Project (SHP) is a London-wide charity working to prevent homelessness and help vulnerable people to transform their lives. From supporting people in crisis to helping people make the final steps towards independence, they make a difference to over 8,000 Londoners every year.

STREATHAM
South London Cares is a community network of young professionals and older neighbours hanging out and helping one another in our rapidly changing city.

PECKHAM
Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers. We seek to help with the relief of poverty and distress, the promotion of health and the furtherance of education for asylum seekers and refugees.
Teachers on the Rise
Giving emerging teachers a platform to hone their skills, especially those who have come through the ranks of our yoga teacher training. As we know, practice makes perfect!
The Yogarise Teacher Training Scholarship
2019 saw us launch our first scholarship place on our teacher training. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are no longer able to offer a scholarship for our 2020 YTT.
