Rhian Sunderland gained a first class degree BSc Physiotherapy from the University of Salford in 2010 and has worked both in the NHS and privately ever since. She developed a keen interest in Women’s Health after completing a student placement at the Liverpool Women’s Hospital and has since gone on to specialise in this niche area of Physiotherapy both privately and NHS over the past 5 years.
Rhian has worked at many leading hospitals around the UK and is currently based at King’s College Hospital in London. She is a fully registered member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and Pelvic Obstetric and Gynaecological Physiotherapists (POGP). Throughout her career she has presented to Consultants and health care professionals at a national and international level and became a published author in 2016 after writing journal articles for The Nursing Standard and a text book chapter on the causes of faecal incontinence.
Rhian, who regularly practices at Yogarise is passionate about empowering and equipping women of all ages from teenagers through to pregnancy, menopause and beyond with the skills and abilities they need to overcome their pelvic floor problems. She is a ‘Mummy MOT’ Physiotherapist and provides a friendly, safe and confidential environment to allow women to openly discuss and explore their symptoms and provides bespoke treatment plans to treat your symptoms.
