What’s on in Streatham

Hey Streatham peeps! There’s loads going on here – here’s a quick rundown of what’s on offer in SW16

We’re proud to host Grace + Poise Academy – the world’s first Muslim ballet school. “With a unique Ballet to Poetry Syllabus, the Academy is founded upon a passion for Child Development and raising the Muslim community to make a positive impact in the world.” Grace + Poise welcomes children from all backgrounds from aged 2 with any level of experience. See you at the barre!

For babies and parents, we share the space with Sing and Sign – a relaxed, great fun and a wonderful way to learn all you need to know about baby signing! Classes are aimed at teaching baby signing in an entertaining and illuminating way to families who are seriously interested in improving two-way communication between parent and child and who are committed to getting the most from our award-winning, enjoyable and stimulating course of classes. Kim runs these in 10-week courses – you can sign up here

For those a little older, why not join Community Chair Yoga? Focussed on building strength, balance, and mobility, these classes welcome adults later in life and those looking for gentle, supported movement. Expect a combination of strength and balance-oriented classes – ideal for those who have attended falls clinics or are following physio advice to exercise at home. Classes are free to attend with donations welcome.

And of course, don’t forget Streatham Festival!  Join the 21st festival in Streatham celebrating the arts and creativity in our community with events, workshops, and shows – and a ton of them are free! Think art, literature, music, and much more – all over Streatham. Pop into our Streatham studio to grab a brochure or give them a follow on @streathamfestival to find out more

Plus don’t forget Yogarise Works – bringing a local community of co-workers together, like-minded yoga lovers who need a desk 😉
