South London local Katherine first hit the mat in 1999 and has been a dedicated practitioner ever since. She fell in love with ashtanga yoga and over the years has explored many styles including vinyasa, hatha, Jivamukti, Dharma, Bikram and yin, however she is always drawn back to the quiet discipline of the Primary Series. Katherine has a deep curiosity for the philosophical teachings of yoga and other practices such as Vipassana meditation and shamanic healing. She seeks balance in the urban and spiritual, and is full of gratitude for the amazing teachers, friends, and creative community these practices bring to her. She completed her 200YTT with Yogarise (Erin Prichard) in 2017 and aims to share a practice that is strong, grounded through breath awareness and fun so that her students leave the class feeler lighter and more content. When she’s not in downward dog you will find her with her beloved spaniel Alfie who she firmly believes is the walking, barking embodiment of a true bhakti yogi.
