Lottie Murphy teaches Pregnancy Pilates at our Peckham studio. Lottie’s life has centred around Pilates since she was 16 years old when she took her first Pilates class. She started a daily Pilates practice and never looked back – it changed her life. Lottie has made it her life’s work to teach Pilates; to help people to move better, feel better and be free in mind and body.
Lottie says: “As your pilates teacher I’m not asking for perfection but for commitment, for presence and for awareness. If we can roll out our mat each day, move, and breathe and find connection then that’s enough. See you there.”
Lottie has a decade of experience teaching Pilates in studios around London, on retreats and at events, working with a wide range of clients. She has built a name for herself in the Pilates world and regularly comments as a Pilates expert in the press and has featured in Red Magazine, the Telegraph and the Guardian.
Lottie is a Level 3 certified teacher with Body Control Pilates, with whom she completed her Intermediate, Advanced Matwork and Reformer qualifications. Lottie has an Active IQ Level 3 Award in Supporting Pre and Postnatal Clients with Exercise and Nutrition. Lottie spent years teaching under the incredible supervision and mentorship of Genine Patrick, owner of Pilates Body Studio. She is committed to maintaining a high standard of teaching and is a member of CIMPSA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) and of the SPM (Society for the Pilates Method).
Lottie’s pregnancy pilates class at Yogarise is a 45-minute strengthening and mobilising class designed to improve your posture and prepare you for birth and beyond. Think strong glutes, healthy pelvic floor, mobile hips and spine and open shoulders. Lottie will use various Pilates props in your workout to assist, support and create a fun and creative Pilates session, listening to and adapting to your individual needs.
