Rooftop Yoga

Views, vibes, very much fun

After the success of last year’s summer season, and after a fair few months running online classes in lockdown, we are back with our friends at Rooftop Film Club for another year of al fresco fun (with plenty of social distancing!).

It is proven that exercising outdoors is good for you, and so is yoga, so we reckon it’s a bit of a no brainer. Hit the roof, then grab a coffee from a local biz or a pizza from the Bussey Rooftop Bar and hang out in the sunshine – what better way to spend the weekend.

Please read our FAQs below for everything you need to know to make the most of your Yogarise Rooftop experience.

Rooftop Yoga

FAQS

How to find us

To access the roof, take the Bussey Building red ‘B Block’ stairs and walk up to the 5th floor. Turn right into Rooftop Film Club where you will be signed in by one of our receptionists.

Please note: there are toilets on the 3rd and 4th floors but no showering facilities on site.

How do I book?

Classes can be booked as usual through MindBody App or our Timetable and are £16 drop-in.

We will not be accepting cash on the door – everything MUST be pre-booked.

If you wish to book and pay for a friend, please contact us with your friend’s name, tel and email and we will sort it for you. Every person attending must have their own Yogarise account.

Rooftop Yoga

What to bring

Please bring your own yoga mat or towel to use. We are unable to provide equipment this year.

If it is sunny – sunnies and sunscreen. Cooler – layers and a sense of fun.

Bring your own water as there are no taps on the roof and it can get quite sweaty!

Props are not provided on the roof.

Belongings should be kept with you and placed neatly in a pile next to your mat.

You are welcome to take photos of the incredible view but phones must be switched off / put on silent and packed away during the session.

What if it rains?

We all cry and go home. No, not really. You’ll get your credit back (hoorah!) If the class is cancelled due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances, the class credit will be returned to your Yogarise account so you can re-book another session (online, indoors or rooftop).

You will be notified by email up to one hour before the start of class if it is cancelled. Please ensure you check your email around 9.30am for confirmation.

Yoga on The Lawn for #ChooseLove

In 2019 we teamed up with The Lawn to offer donation-based yoga classes at St Martin’s Courtyard, Mercer Walk, WC2H in aid of Help Refugees. The wonderful Richard Meer led Dynamic Flow classes every Wednesday 5-6pm (weather permitting) throughout the summer. We hope to be back for Summer 2020 – keep your eyes peeled for more info!
