RELAX & RESTORE: A LEVEL 1 RESTORATIVE YOGA TEACHER TRAINING

WITH ADELENE CHEONG

15-19 JANUARY 2024, YOGARISE PECKHAM

Teacher Training

To ‘rest’, to ‘relax’ and to ‘restore’ is a natural vital process in our lives. Rest supports optimal physiological functioning, and promotes healing and growth. During rest, one’s autonomic nervous system switches from sympathetic dominance to parasympathetic dominance, and regeneration and restoration are accelerated. Research has shown that relaxation and rest are essential to everyone of all ages and cultures, sizes and shape.

Yogarise is delighted to welcome SYT Adelene Cheong to Peckham for his very special training.

WHY DO WE PRACTICE RESTORATIVE YOGA?

To support health and vitality, an antidote to stress

To replenish moments of depletion and fatigue at every level

To restore mental clarity and resilience

To reconnect to our innate true nature

To live with the capacity for greater awareness and equanimity

To offer the best version of ourselves to the world

This course will:

Deepen your understanding of what it means to truly relax: Active relaxation, and why it is so important.

Examine different restorative poses, approaches and techniques and understand the emotional aspects and psychology of each pose.

Provide you with the tools to develop your own voice as a Restorative yoga teacher, either stand-alone or as part of your general yoga classes or other suitable modalities.
