This menopause yoga for strength and empowerment workshop will give you a toolkit of techniques, guidance, reflection and support to help you move through your menopause journey with ease and confidence. We will explore ways to strengthen muscles and bones, aid digestion, lift low mood and reconnect with our inner vitality, rooted in strength and empowerment.

The menopause period ushers in a complete hormonal shift in our bodies and brains. Low mood, lethargy, sluggish digestion, and lack of zest for life are all common symptoms, and all too often women can feel lost, in uncharted territory and adrift from themselves.

In this workshop we’ll look at the physiological causes underlying these unsettling symptoms, and the external triggers which can make them worse.

This workshop provides an enjoyable and safe space where women can come together and share their experiences, laugh and embrace the changes while also learning from one another. Practising yoga in the company of other women can feel supportive and reminds us that we are NOT alone.

Beginners to experienced yoga students are all welcome.

The workshop will include:
• An introduction to the stages of menopause and how hormone changes
affect our body and mind.
• A safe and supportive women’s circle.
• A yoga practice especially designed to alleviate the most common
menopause symptoms, including breathing techniques, gentle vinyasa flow,
restorative yoga and mindful meditation practices.
• Journaling and self-reflection.
• Handouts.

Tiffy has been practising yoga since the 1990s. After completing a one-year full-time yoga teacher training with YogaArts in Australia, she qualified as an International Yoga Alliance certified yoga teacher in 2002. She has continued to explore and study many forms of yoga with various teachers over the years: Astanga, Iyengar, restorative and therapeutic yoga, breathwork and meditation, and yoga for pregnancy and beyond. Most recently her ever-deepening passion has led her to develop additional expertise in Menopause YogaTM with Petra Coveney, as well as yoga for pelvic health with Leslie Howard. Tiffy’s classes and workshops offer a therapeutic route to finding and unravelling tension and moving towards greater ease and balance.

Geared towards perimenopausal and menopausal women but open to all with an interest.
