We are Emma and Sean (and Misty the dog) and we are Peckham locals who love yoga. Having spent years travelling across London to our favourite teachers and studios, we thought… why not bring them to us instead, so our friends and neighbours can join in the fun, minus the hassle? Essentially, we think yoga makes you feel good. If we can share a bit of that around, make more people feel good, what’s not to love? So… Make it happen people. Get your ass-ana on the mat and get yogarising!
We opened our doors back in 2014 in this original space. Light, airy and open plan, Studio #1 has grey vinyl floors, chipboard walls and plenty of colour and character.
Our new, slightly cosier space, Studio #2 has a more intimate, relaxed feel with polished wooden floors, mood lighting and good vibes aplenty. Come on in and… let go.
HOW TO FIND US
Studio 1 is on the second floor of ‘B Block stairs’. To find Studio 2, continue walking down the alley, use ‘C Block’ stairs and we are on the first floor, to the left.

From dynamic and cardiovascular to slow and flowing, take your pick of our range of yoga classes to suit all tastes and levels. Give it a go, you know you want to
NEW TO YOGA?
Excellent. We’ve all been there and luckily, unlike competitive sports and hobbies, yoga is non-judgmental – it’s not about whether your neighbour can touch his toes or your best mate can stand on her head, it’s a personal practice, just you and your mat, with the teacher there to guide you along the way.
We also have Beginners yoga classes and courses, especially for you.
WHAT TO WEAR
Something comfortable. Leggings, t-shirt, vest, shorts, something you can move in. Layers are also good for slower paced classes or for popping on during a relaxation session.
We have changing rooms and there are pigeon holes in the studio for your belongings and footwear – there’s a shoes off policy in the practice area.
WHAT TO BRING
There are mats and yoga props provided but if you are coming to a dynamic class you may like to bring a towel or a bottle of water.
We have snacks and refreshments available at reception, or feel free to help yourself to a complimentary cuppa.
We do not have showers at Yogarise.

Written exam: There is a written exam at the end of the course in which you will be tested on key areas of philosophy and anatomy.
Coursework: You will be asked to write two short essays, linked to the philosophy and reading materials we are using for the course.
