Emma has a background in dance and movement and has studied yoga for over ten years, practising a range of traditional styles including Iyengar and Ashtanga and more modern schools of yoga such as Forrest, Jivamukti, Yin and Rocket.
Emma has a keen interest in mindfulness and encourages non-attachment within yoga practice. In addition to her yoga teaching, she works as a Speech and Language Therapist in the field of Adult Neurology / Elderly Care.
Emma completed her first 200hr yoga teaching qualification in 2012 with Yogahaven, and went on to complete an additional 100hr programme with The Yoga People in 2014 in Advanced Astanga Vinyasa (Rocket). This was followed in 2015 by completion of Sarah Powers’ Insight Yoga (Yin) training and a range of additional workshops and CPDs. Emma teaches all levels classes and brings dynamic vinyasa, rocket, yin, hot yoga and beginners classes to studios across London.
Emma’s classes provide a space to energise through vinyasa-based practice alongside music, while also encouraging relaxation and release through more restorative postures.
