WALES YOGA RETREAT MAY 2022

WITH LOLO LAM

12-16 MAY, PENBRYN, WALES

UNPLUG + GET BACK TO NATURE

We are heading to the very special fforest retreat on the south west Welsh coast for a long weekend in May 2022 – and we want YOU to be there. Have you missed seeing Lolo in Peckham? (‘Course you have!) Or perhaps you practise with her online, and have never met her! Well, now’s your chance…

Join us for a magical Yogarise experience with Lolo Lam in the wilderness of Wales. Practise twice daily yoga, enjoy the wood-fired sauna, chat around the fire pit, take coastal hikes, or even a refreshing sunset dip in the sea. After a year or two of lockdowns and restrictions, we cannot wait to embrace the fresh air, freedom, open hearts, joyful movement and some serious down-time that a countryside yoga retreat will bring.

For your accommodation, you can choose from log cabins, geodesic domes or their beautifully restored Georgian farmhouse…

OUR RETREAT VENUE

Manorafon is a converted dairy farm, with some of the rustic buildings still in place. The cedar barrel sauna (above) and fire pit are fforest additions and they sit nicely within the rural environment. The National trust beach, Penbryn is only a 10 minute walk away.

THE ROOMS

Ty Manorafon (the farmhouse) is situated at the entrance to the camp, with its own private garden. There are 5 log cabins dotted around the camp, which range from 2 to 3 bedroom. Tucked in amongst the trees and long grass are their three geodesic domes, which are perfect for those looking to really immerse themselves in nature.

Ty Manorafon

If you’re looking for country cottage vibes, Ty Manorafon is for you with its cosy living space, farmhouse kitchen (below) & wood-burning stove.

There is one private, double / twin bedroom (suitable for a couple, 2 friends or a single person) with en suite shower room and toilet (shared kitchen and living), and three private single occupancy double bedrooms in the main house with use of a shared bathroom.

Cabins

The cabins are grouped together in their own cluster with mature landscaping and terraces. They are light, warm and comfortable.

In the cabins there are private single occupancy double bedrooms and private single occupancy twin bedrooms (with single beds) ~ all sharing a bathroom, kitchen, living and decking space.

Domes

The domes have solid wood floors, wood-burning stove, bespoke furnishings and views from a giant bay window. They have a king size bed with feather soft bedding, plus additional futon camp beds if you want to get glamping with your pals or partner.

The short walk to your private shower/toilet is more than made up for by the feeling of privacy and tranquility you experience in your own little corner of the fforest camp.

All bedding & towels are provided for all room options.

THE FOOD

The food will be simple but yummy. Many of the salads and greens are home grown, plus the venue is blessed with fantastic local produce on the doorstep. Everything will be healthy and seasonal, nourishing and delicious, freshly prepared and vegetarian.

The stay includes teas, fruit and snacks, 4 ‘DIY breakfasts’ with eggs homemade granola, freshly baked breads, fforest jams & preserves, a simple lunch each day, and 3 seasonal home-cooked suppers with a delicious pud to follow.

We will visit the local TipiPizza on one evening too – an outdoor pizza restaurant located on Cardigan’s Quayside with beautiful river views & roaring fires.

THE YOGA

Morning and evening classes will take place in the yoga barn with a cool, rustic vibe and wood burning stove. Lolo caters to all levels from beginners to more experienced yogis and yoginis, and will tailor the yoga programme to include a mix of Dynamic Vinyasa Flow, Yin-Yang, Restorative yoga and Yoga Nidra.

ABOUT LOLO

In a previous life, Lolo worked as a nurse, specialising in the areas of neurosurgery and intensive care. After many years of observing the pitfalls of inactivity and poor lifestyle, she started studying the holistic system of Ayurveda and yoga. Having studied with some incredible teachers, Lolo was amazed at how yoga and Ayurveda helped her deal with her own physical and mental demons and hopes that she can facilitate an empowered and embodied practice that will do the same for others.

Lolo’s classes combine a powerful yet nurturing energy with a mischievous sparkle. Students are encouraged to explore the practice, learning about their individual anatomy, the power of their breath and the nature of their mind. She enjoys teaching a diverse range of students from complete beginners to more seasoned practitioners.

A senior yoga teacher, with over a decade of yoga teaching experience, Lolo loves to teach everything from Dynamic Flow and Rocket Yoga, to Yin-Yang, Beginners’ Yoga, Flow + Restore, Restorative, Yin and Yoga Nidra.

Lolo is a Guest Teacher on the Yogarise Foundational 200HR Yoga Teacher Training, with a module on Ayurveda. And we are pleased to announce that (despite no longer living in London) she will continue as a key member of our training faculty again for 2021 and 2022. The retreat is a perfect opportunity to experience all that Lolo has to offer.
