Damian Lynch

YTT Guest Teacher

Damian is a professional actor based in London and Amsterdam. He trained at the prestigious Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. During his lengthy career he has worked extensively across stage, screen and radio. Most recently, Damian completed a 2 year run playing Robin Freeboys in “The Comedy About A Bank Robbery” in a UK/Ireland No. 1 tour which then transferred to the West End. He appeared in the BAFTA – nominated BBC/Netflix series “Giri/Haji”, and also recently played a number of characters in “The Corrupted” for BBC Radio 4.

Damian is also an accomplished voiceover artist and audiobook narrator. His versatile voice has been used for numerous national TV and radio campaigns for brands including Virgin Holidays, Volkswagen, SONY PlayStation and MTV. He has voiced characters for popular computer games such as Marvel Lego Superheroes 2, Dragonage: Inquisition and World of Warcraft.

Damian has recorded over 80 audiobook titles including: Hitler: A Biography, Blood’s Game, The Secret Footballer, London Falling, Who Killed Sherlock Holmes, The Fallen and The Faithful series, and Mycroft Holmes (for which he won an Earphones Award and was described as a “master of voices” for his narration).

Damian is delighted to be joining the Yogarise Teacher Training as a guest teacher. He is passionate about working with professionals to develop their confidence, raise awareness around their own vocal health and help them to find their authentic and unique voice. He is looking forward to working with the trainee teachers on this course and helping them with the vocal tools they need for the job.
