Kamlyn has worked with children in different capacities for the past 16 years, including volunteering at a local children’s charity, working with home-schooled children, and for Yogarise’s charity partner, Project Yogi.
In 2014 she completed her YogaBeez children’s teacher training and has the privilege to be able to teach yoga to toddlers through to teens since then as a full time job. Kamlyn feels really inspired by the idea of sharing the practice of Yoga with young people, and giving them the tools to create meaningful and positive habits in their own lives – she wishes there had been yoga classes for children when she was a child! She has also completed a 200hr adult yoga teacher training with Charlotta Martinus at Universal Yoga.
Through Project Yogi Kamlyn helps to teach young people the principles and practice of yoga and mindfulness, assisting them in combating some of the obstacles they may face on a daily basis. With the help of Yogarise, Project Yogi offers yoga classes at local secondary schools in Peckham.
